Kofresi (Arco Iris x La Bruja) Kofresi was born 11/30/58 in Vega Alta, Puerto Rico. He was Bay with one stocking, owned by Ramon Figueroa. He was Champion Bella Forma and Grand Champion Paso Fino 1961. He was the National Champion Paso Fino 1973. His grandfather on both sides, and his great grandfather and great-great grandfather was the Puerto Rican phenomenon, Dulce Sueno. The line breeding in this Champion is abundant. So what can you tell me about Kofresi?

Interesting info and great photos, girls. I've noticed that Kofresi is in many of our mixed paso finos (Colombian/Puerto Rican) who went on to become champions here. Kofresi lines have always had the right stuff to strengthen a pedigree.

I think he may be talking about Arco Iris de Capuchino...he's still in the show ring.

Here's a photo of Kofresi. I don't know who contributed it, maybe Denisse did. It's one of the better action shots of him.

Albera del Panhandle, a Kofresi granddaughter through Picaflor. She's also a Papyrus granddaughter through Zarzuela. I believe her line can attribute the hip angle to Kofresi. It's a little sharper than the Papyrus-lined hip angle, which tends to be rounder or round out, which I think Batalla also has.

Picaflor, a son of Kofresi. I'm adding his name in here as a note to myself. If anyone has info on him, photos, etc., please post.

I think this guy displays a good deal of Kofresi in him, Omega de Bucanero. He sired Don Coqui, and is grand daddy to Proeza de Coqui, who was the 1995 World Champion Fino Filly, 30-36 months. Don Coqui was 3rd  in Puerto Rico 1995 World Champion Fino Stallions.

Omega de Bucanero is Bucanero II (Kofresi=Arco Iris/La Bruja) X Glorie (Mr. Puerto Rico II/Magnifica) X Emperatriz (Aventurera) = Retoson (Retador X La Bruja) X Contessa (Sonador/Mora)

Don Neco, 5/10/83, Botafogo X Furia de Cucululu (linebred Kofresi). Pure Puerto Rican stallion imported to USA from Puerto Rico in 1991. He was undefeated in Bella Forma and Fino during his show career in the U.S..

Don Neco is triple Kofresi, once through the sire, and twice (line-bred) through the dam (twice Cucululu - Son to Mother, resulting in Furia de Cucululu, Don Neco's dam). The grandparents of Don Neco, Siboney el Brujo and Cucululu are both Kofresi/Galana breedings. So to say that this is only triple Kofresi doesn't do it justice; Don Neco is triple Kofresi/Galana (double Cucululu); unless there's a mistake or misstep in the pedigree, or I goofed.
